About the episode

Wide receiver Jamari Hawkins is a 5-foot-10 unranked dual sport athlete from Baker High School (Mobile, Ala.). He committed to the Memphis and put ink to sign with the Tigers during a National Signing Day commitment ceremony today at his high school. Ranked or not, Hawkins' story is worth the time and attention of Memphis fans. On top of being a football standout for Baker, the 17 year old Hawkins also runs track for the Hornets. His 4 x 200 relay team recently broke school records at the Alabama High School Athletic Association's indoor track and field regionals. He was officially clocked at a 4.43 40-yard dash at South Alabama's football camp. Unofficially, Hawkins runs a 7.13 60-meter sprint. Jamari Hawkins is fast. Real fast.
