ECU sweeps Columbia to complete 4-0 week

East Carolina ran its winning streak to seven with a clean 4-0 week. The action started off a little precarious with an up and down game on Tuesday at UNC Wilmington, but the Pirates survived in an 8-7 thriller in 10 innings. They then returned home to take care of Columbia, getting dominant starting pitching from Trey Yesavage and Zach Root, and big offensive games on Friday and Saturday, to roll to a series win. The sweep was completed on Sunday with an 8-6 triumph. The Pirates are now 14-4 on the season heading into a four-game road swing with contests against Elon and UTSA this week.
