About the episode
During the week of March 2nd, 1951, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg went on trial for allegedly selling nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union. Their case remains one of the most debated in U.S. history, with questions surrounding their guilt and the motivations behind their execution. That same week in 1991, the CIA Office of Security began investigating one of its own officers: Aldrich Ames. Over a period of nine years, Ames provided sensitive information to the KGB, compromising numerous U.S. intelligence operations and leading to the execution of several American spies. His actions resulted in one of the most damaging breaches of U.S. intelligence security in history. If you’re new here, don’t forget to follow Crime House 24/7 to never miss a case!
