King's activism as a global champion of human rights.The show will include Author and filmmaker Priyanka Kumar on how Mahatma Gandhi inspired King to pursue the path of nonviolence in his civil rights leadership; Clayborne Carson,  director of the Martin Luther King, Jr., Research and Education Institute at Stanford University discus​sing King's relationship with his parents and how they how they helped to formulate Rev. King's calling; and King Biographer Richard Lischer examines the formative years that Rev. King spent at the Crozer Theological Seminary, where ​he became class president of the majority white student body . In addition, we will unearth the rare audio recordings made by celebrated author Robert Penn Warren with dozens of influential Civil Rights leaders in 1964, capturing the thoughts of King's contemporaries like Malcolm X and James Baldwin.
