About the episode

Injured Aussie captain Pat Cummins took a big step towards an Ashes comeback on Wednesday morning, resuming bowling for the first time. Cummins hopes to return from his back injury in the second Test at the Gabba in early December. The miserable run continued for Test opener Sam Konstas in the Sheffield Shield. The 20 year-old made just 10 for New South Wales in the first innings against Queensland at the Gabba. Harry Grant will lead the Kangaroos in place of the concussed Isaah Yeo, in this weekend's second Ashes Rugby League Test against England in Liverpool. Yeo’s Penrith teammate Lindsay Smith comes into the squad. The Matildas were beaten 3-nil by European Champions England in their international friendly in Derby. The Aussies played much of the contest with 10, after Alanna Kennedy was sent off for taking down Alessia Russo. 7NEWS Sport Headlines with Nick Markham for Monday October 29, 2025.
