About the episode

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has appointed Anthea Harris, former CEO of the Australian Energy Regulator, as Australia's first national fuel coordinator to oversee petrol and diesel supply issues nationwide. The appointment follows an emergency national cabinet meeting in Hobart, where all state and territory leaders agreed to appoint local coordinators to work with Harris. Opposition Leader Angus Taylor criticised the government's handling of fuel supply issues as the ACCC launches an investigation into alleged anti-competitive conduct by major fuel suppliers Ampol, BP and Viva Energy, particularly regarding diesel supply to regional and remote areas.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
