About the episode

Tropical Cyclone Narelle is bearing down on Queensland's Cape York Peninsula, expected to intensify to a Category 5 system by Friday morning, potentially becoming the most powerful cyclone to hit the region in living memory. Remote communities including Lizard Island and Port Stewart have begun evacuations, while the state government has pre-positioned emergency resources including swiftwater rescue crews, generators, paramedics and almost 50 extra police. The cyclone is predicted to be the most destructive since Category 4 Cyclone Debbie struck the Whitsundays nine years ago.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
